Schulportrait

Creating a portrait of a place involves exploring its unique personality and characteristics. For my project, I focused on capturing the essence of my school, die Graphische. The school underwent renovations and relocated to a new building. Upon returning, the decision was made to take a variety of mismatched chairs and tables from different classrooms, resulting in an eclectic mix that reflects the diverse backgrounds and creativity of the student body. In this series, I chose to feature these chairs as the main subjects, photographing them in a traditional portrait style. Each image highlights the individuality of the chairs while symbolising the vibrant community of die Graphische. Through this visual narrative, I aimed to showcase not just the physical space, but also the spirit and personality that make our school a distinctive place to learn and grow.
